ABOUT
Moose Marketing isn’t your typical digital agency or design studio. You won’t find an impossible-to-reach account rep or an unpredictable freelancer. It’s just me, Allie; a 13-year agency veteran with a passion for solving problems, thinking outside the box, and helping small businesses succeed.
Successful and creative outcomes start with great partnerships. It’s important for me to feel like an extension of your company, understand your business model, and get to know your ideal customers. That’s why I keep it small and only take on projects that I have the bandwidth to see through and the skills to execute.
HI,
I'M ALLIE
…but people call me “Moose”
PEOPLE ACTUALLY CALL YOU "MOOSE?"
Yup! In fact, if my husband ever calls me “Allie,” I know something’s wrong.
My maiden name is Musso (moose-oh), and after a sports-filled childhood with multiple Allie’s on a team, the nickname “Moose” took hold, and remains to this day.
THE BACK STORY
I started my career freshman year as a student Sports Information Director for the CU Athletic Department (GO BUFFS!) the day I stepped on campus. After four years as a student SID, I took a full-time gig after graduation overseeing Women’s Soccer, Women’s Golf and Men’s & Women’s Skiing. I always saw myself working in the sports world, but eventually moved on to the corporate world as a Public Relations and Social Media expert for a large Real Estate brand and more of the predictable 8-5 work day lifestyle.
Shortly thereafter some friends of mine started a Digital Marketing & Advertising agency and offered me a chance to help businesses navigate the ever-changing and rough terrain of the Internet, all while taking breaks here and there to dominate the ping pong table (or at least try) and Golden Tee.
As a part-time working mom in my mid-thirties, I started doing side projects for friends and family in order to keep my creative juices flowing. It didn’t take long for me to get bit by the entrepreneur bug and launch my own company! I wanted to be more present with my family, while still tapping into my creative side and making a difference for small businesses.
I spent my days inside some of the most professionally built WordPress websites with ideas and visions to make subtle changes to attract more traffic, but lacked the in-depth coding knowledge to make what seemed like a pretty small change. I knew there had to be a better way. That’s when I discovered Squarespace. From the very first website I created, it was clear that this was what I wanted to do day in and day out. The combination of creative design ideas and critical thinking required to build websites is something that truly excited me.
I found myself talking with far too many business owners about their frustrations with their website company or freelancers and it became my goal to help people gain back control over their sites. After all, your website is your most important marketing tool.
Squarespace has become my platform of choice because it enables my clients to learn their user-friendly interface and maintain their website once I’ve handed it over. Gone are the days of waiting weeks (and paying far too much) for quick changes and simple updates. While I’m always available to lend a hand when needed, my websites are built to be yours. I believe that you should have full ownership and the ability to make any and all adjustments on your time.
I’ve loved working in Wordpress websites for large businesses with highly complex needs, but believe that Squarespace can help you take back control. I could spend hours in Photoshop fidgeting over every small detail of design, but believe that Canva can make you feel like you just finished a professional graphic design course. These solutions aren’t one size fits all, but wouldn’t you like to find out if they might work for your business?
